After a couple of nasty bouts of IBS and anxiety attacks, an adjustment to my meds seems to be working. *cross fingers*
I started working with a therapist, but I really need to locate an ADD-coach specialist... one that understands adult needs and special problems.
Updated my culinary resume and will aim it at high-end restaurants in downtown San Jose and places like Santana Row -- as it appears that only at the upper echelons of the food-service industry will companies actually *help* and *train* their employees to grow in their career. I still like the idea of doing catering at a golf club like I did for my externship, but understandably in this current financial climate, I'll take anything I can get.
Speaking of culinary, I've been asked to provide some hors d'oeuvres for an art exhibition, so I'm making some poughi, aka Beggar's Purses, along with fresh lemon cheese with assorted crackers, and might throw in some 'puff-pups' (mini hotdgs wrapped in puff pastry) with a handmade creole mustard sauce for dipping. If I wasn't broke, I'd order new business cards; but, I do have my old CIA candidate cards I can slap a label on, at least.
I love making cheeses ... Hmmmm, I wonder if there's anyone local in the Bay Area I can work/apprentice under. :)
