Time Flies...
I can't believe it's already been a month since I last posted an entry. I guess time really does fly when you're having fun -- or, at least, focused on a task.

The first few days after I started the new medication to combat my almost-narcolepsy were very interesting... now I know what a caffeine high feels like. I think I scared my classmates with my excessive energy at 6:45am (I'm on the AM track, so most of the classes/blocks start early to stupid-early in the morning). After that, my body rapid adjusted to it... to the point that now I'm having sleepiness issues again. It's not as bad as it used to be, and I'm sure the odd hours aren't helping, but there's something amiss with the ability to crash-sleep at will, and I'm tired of not hearing the alarm for my post-kitchen-workout nap I take before jumping into my homework. At least I'm not suddenly passing out at 11am for no good reason. I'll be seeing my doctor over the Winter Holiday break about the situation... it should make for an interesting followup Sleep Study, at least.

Meanwhile, on the school front, I've been busily learning Asian cuisines and having a blast. I've always been a Nipponiphile (a love of things Japanese), but in 14 days (3 weeks), I get to learn about China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia and India. Whew! And the final for it is this Friday before we break for the holidays....

Hello dere!

(Yes, I finally joined the rest of the planet. =};-3 )

So which of the Asian cuisines did you like the most? I've yet to try Thai or Indonesian, and so far I like Scezhuan Chinese.

Which Asian cuisine is my favorite? You really have to ask that?

Japanese, of course. :3

Now, regarding any *new* cuisines I've learned, I like Cantonese and Beijing styles, found Korean is nice, and even found a few non-chili-hot Thai dishes.

If I had to pick a singular dish that I made in class that I really liked (and hadn't made before the class), I'd say it's the Jeera Pilaf from northern India. Flavorful, spicy but not hot, and has a wonderful aroma. :3
